Last week we talked about the ways in which citizens can get involved with/participate in politics. One thing I noted was that just by doing basic online searches, I was coming up short-handed with results. Now it's your turn to share.     I know media is not relatively new, but I think the access to media is now greater and more widespread than it ever was before, especially since the 2016 election and onward. Because of this I think it's one of the reasons we might not have extensive research or why many times we end up coming short handed on certain topics. Even on my personal blog project i've had issues finding latino news as most had to do with the border crisis and fails to really cover anything other than that. I enjoyed doing your survey and I hope it helps you out. It really inspired me to potentially try doing my own survey on my blog!

It's Your Turn!

If you have been following along with me through the last couple of weeks, you may have noticed a trend where I have been talking a lot about citizens and their engagement and involvement in elections and politics as a whole. In one of my posts, I touched on the topic of democracy and whether or not "the people" (citizens just like you and I) truly have the power when it comes to democracy in America. This has been an ongoing debate not only in America, but all around the world, and it will likely continue to be debated for foreseeable future. Which means, that as of now and for the foreseeable future, there is no real definitive answer as to whether or not we the people have any true power or control.  That being said, it is up to us as "the people" to step up and take action to make our voices heard.
